Barefoot Mummys birth doula package

I cover all areas surrounding Peterborough and both the Peterborough City Hospital & Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

Following our initial meeting I will plan with you at least two dates to visit before your baby is expected to arrive. Although each family will have different needs often the first session we spend together will be before the on-call period begins - around a month before your EDD, and is mainly focused on getting to know each other, discussing your experience of pregnancy so far and your feelings towards the birth and early parenthood. The second session together will be at the beginning of the on-call period and often focuses on preparing for the birth, arrangements for supporting you and your family during the labour, and immediately afterwards and general well-being (and excitement!).

From appointment I am available for support between 9-5pm every day either by phone or email. From approximately two weeks before your EDD this will then be described as the on-call period whereby I am available 24 hours a day until your baby arrives.

Following the birth of your baby I will plan at least one visit, usually two depending on your own personal preferences. 

The charge for a birth doula package is between £400-£550 dependant on your location and circumstances.

Should you like me to attend any antenatal/postnatal appointments, classes, hospital visits or arrange more one-to-one visits together either before or after baby has arrived these can be arranged at an additional charge of between £10-£15 per hour.

Barefoot Mummys postnatal doula package

I offer postnatal support to families in and around the Peterborough area.

At our initial meeting together we will discuss what your needs may be in the weeks after the birth, how long you are expecting to like support for and how often you would like me to visit you.

The charge for postnatal support is between £10-£20 per hour dependant on your location and circumstances. I prefer to work for postnatal clients for at least four weekly visits.

Extra benefits

Clients have access to my full library of pregnancy, birth and parenting books and DVD's (a list will be provided along with your contract). I am also happy to loan copies of the Natal Hypnotherapy CD's to clients in particular, the birth preparation CD's, Birth Music and Fast Postnatal Recovery & Breastfeeding Companion CD's - which I will also provide full support with using. I have a TENS machine which is available for clients to wishing to use one to borrow.

Families I am working with are also able to access a discount on other workshops and services provided by Barefoot Mummy including private Natal Hypnotherapy Workshops, hiring a heated & filtered birth pool, a standard non-heated pool or Kaya Birth Stool through Barefoot Birth Pools and even products from the Barefoot Life range.

What happens next

After receiving a booking enquiry form via my website, an email or phone enquiry I will arrange to meet with you (and your partner) at a mutually agreeable time & location.

Following our initial meeting together should you choose to 'book me' for either your birth or postnatal support I will then forward you two copies of our contract together along with a SSAE to return a signed copy back to me. I also request payment of a retainer fee of £150 to confirm your booking. Once both a signed contract has been returned and a retainer payment received no further enquiries for the same time period will be accepted by myself.

I accept Doula UK Vouchers, PayPal (Credit/debit card), Cheques & BACS.

I do accept clients who are wishing to access the Doula UK Hardship Fund for either birth or postnatal support, however, will require notice of your intention to access the fund prior to our first appointment together. Clients accessing the fund need to arrange for this by directly contacting Doula UK themselves as I am unable to do so on their behalf.  

The confidentiality and privacy of my clients is of upmost importance to me. I never share clients details or personal information.
