'Natural Parenting Club'

We are launching the concept of the Natural Parenting Club at the Peterborough Green Festival on the 23rd of May 2009.

After meeting through their work for the Peterborough branch of the NCT hosts Sandy and Shona found a shared connection and passion for a natural approach to parenting and family life. Sandy felt she wanted to find out more about what the options were to interested but busy parents like herself and Shona felt that she had not had the opportunity to meet other like minded parents at the usual parent groups to share her experiences with....hence the 'birth' of the Natural Parent Club! Knowing that there must be many other mums feeling the same, discussions and scheming began with plans to form a long term support and information network to mums like them that would be friendly and fun also.

We will meet monthly on the fourth Thursday of the month for a social chat and will also have guest speakers and workshops running every few months. There will be the option to join the group and members will have the opportunity to borrow from the shared members library, to nominate charities as well as suggesting speakers and ideas for workshops through the password protected pages of the website. 

The official launch of the club will be on the 23rd of July and we are hoping to try and get someone high profile to come along to open the club - not sure that there will be ribbon and tape but will try and do something a bit special to celebrate.
